Flax Egg
January 01, 2016
When you're baking or making pancakes/waffles, and the recipe requires egg, the best substitute so far, in my honest opinion, is a flax egg. There are various recipes which require a standard flax egg and this is my fire-proof recipe to make it.
Ingredients (to make 1 flax egg)
1 tbsp flax meal
2.5 tbsp water
Directions
Whisk/beat the flax meal and water in a small bowl and let it sit for 10 minutes.
And your flax egg is complete! That's literally it. The consistency after the 10 minutes really resembles an actual egg :)
That's all for this post! Happy baking/cooking :)
